Baby Irene is a sweet, young girl who was dealt a bad hand for a time but has come through her earlier life experiences well. She absolutely adores her person ( the one she picks) and will seek out attention readily.

She is cautious with new dogs in her life but once properly introduced to a dog that is calm and stable, will settle right in to interact and play constantly. She does not do well with a dog that is dominant as a result of her previous life experiences.

She will benefit greatly from having savvy ACD adopters who can continue to support her needs. She will need continued training in basic manners as it does not appear that she had ever seen the inside of a home nor had she had much human interaction prior to her coming into rescue with ACDR.

She has learned very quickly as she is quite smart. She is fully crate trained and house trained. She has boundless energy and loves to run in the backyard with her foster brothers. She could be a possibility for a hiker or a runner as a companion.

As her photos show, she is a beautiful, young, blue girl. She is just over a year old, spayed, microchipped, and had all of her necessary vaccines.

Baby Irene is NOT a candidate for apartment living so please take that into consideration before you apply.

She is currently being fostered in Rio Rico,AZ, with three other, male dogs.

The first step to meeting any of our dogs is to submit an application. It in no way obligates you to adopt, it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in we still encourage you to go through the approval process. Then you will be pre-approved and ready to adopt when a dog does come along that you are interested in.
