Harvey is just a big lug-nut of a guy! He’s sweet, sensitive, very cuddly and has medium energy for an ACD mix. He loves car rides, going to new places and meeting new people and furfriends. Harvey has great house manners and can be left out n about with no accidents and he doesn’t eat the furniture (ha!)

Harvey would be OK with or without another dog in the house. He’s not much of a player with other dogs but he seems to enjoy the company of other friendly, calm furfriends. Harvey just likes to hang out, get side scratches and play with his people. He has been around kids of most ages and does great, though he might knock over a smaller child when he’s excited. He would NOT do well with cats or if there were pocket pets in the house. There are pet bunnies and chickens outside at his foster home and tends to drool on the other side of their fence when they are out.

Harvey currently lives with 7 other dogs and does well with most of them. There’s another male tripod in the house and they tend to butt heads from time to time. Nothing serious, just some growling and the occasional exchange of naughty words (we blame them both). Given he has shown to be slightly particular in who he shares space with, a meet n greet with all the other dogs in his potential new home is a must.

As we said, Harvey’s a big-nut and he’s still learning his social graces such as patience, walking nicely on a leash and not rubbing up against others so hard that they might fall over. He REALLY likes his people!

*When Harvey came into ACDR his rear right leg was too damaged to repair. He had several issues with his knee and his hip was dislocated. They were all old injuries (months+) and he was tired of dragging it around so we relived him of his burden and he’s so much happier now!

Harvey is housebroken, crate trained and fully vetted. He is currently located in Flagstaff, AZ

The first step to meeting any of our dogs is to submit an application. It in no way obligates you to adopt, it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in we still encourage you to go through the approval process. Then you will be pre-approved and ready to adopt when a dog does come along that you are interested in.
