We named Olive in reference to the Olive branch for peace and the name suits her perfectly! She is a very affectionate lil girl. For the past 3 months, Olive has lived with other dogs, cats, rabbits, pigs, horses and goats. She is peaceful with all of them, though she doesn’t interact much with the animals. She prefers to be with her humans. She spends the majority of her time indoors. She has never demonstrated any destructive behavior or separation anxiety. She’s never chewed anything she’s not allowed to have, although she does steal my daughter’s stuffed dog to snuggle with it at bedtime. She loves to have toys but prefers toys that don’t squeak. If anyone squeaks a toy, she will gently take it away and lay on it. Olive enjoys being outside for short breaks or will stay out and roam with her people. She won’t leave your side! She walks well on a leash and rides in the car with no issues. Olive is smaller than she looks and can get through our cat door! I have a secure fence around a large backyard, but if Olive is left out alone for longer than she’d like, she squeezes through a gap in a gate and into the front yard to wait on the front porch. She has never ran away out of our open front yard, but it’s certainly a safety concern. Olive is a very special girl with a beautifully loving demeanor.

Olive is housebroken and fully vetted. She is currently located in Flagstaff, AZ

The first step to meeting any of our dogs is to submit an application. It in no way obligates you to adopt, it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in we still encourage you to go through the approval process. Then you will be pre-approved and ready to adopt when a dog does come along that you are interested in.
