My peeps call me “Sapphire”, or sometimes “Little Girl”, and, every once in a while, they call me “GET DOWN”, but I like Sapphire the best. I ran afoul of the law in extreme southern Arizona and was arrested for vagrancy but some nice folks came and bailed me out and took me to their place to rest and relax for a while. I have met some real nice foster brothers who sometimes will play with me. I really like to play! They’re older than I am so they don’t like to play for as long as I want to. It can be a bummer but I’m learning to accept that it’s not all about me!

Sapphire is an ultra-sweet little Heeler mix who is submissive but adores attention and playtime with other dogs. She is crate trained and house trained but will demonstrate some submissive peeing until she gets to know her new family. She is a happy puppy and we estimate her age to be just about a year. She is a small Heeler and will likely stay that way. She weighs in at 23-25 lbs.

Her foster family is working with her on her social skills as it appears she was primarily an outside dog before she came into rescue. With patience and guidance she will flourish into a wonderful young lady. We are working on her habit of jumping up on people to greet them as she gets so excited to see you that she expresses herself with her own “happy dance”.

All in all Sapphire is just a young, sweet, happy puppy and will be a loyal companion for anyone who gives her love and attention. She is spayed and fully vetted and ready to pack her bags and head out on her next great adventure.

Sapphire is housebroken, crate trained and fully vetted. She is currently located in Rio Rico, Arizona.
