Hi there. My name is Sammy Dogis Jr., but you can just call me Sammy. I’m just a young guy, about a year old. I was busted out of a shelter where I had been waiting for more than a couple months for someone to come visit me and think I’m adorable. Well, that happened, finally, and I busted out of that joint with two really nice people who have let me hang out at their house and destress for a while. They let me play with their dog who actually looks a lot like me and I’ve even met their other dog, who everyone tells me is kinda’ grumpy, but she seems to think I’m the cat’s meow

Speaking of cats, I’m living with one of those too, and after the initial scare of seeing this thing for the first time, I’ve been very respectful but a little curious too. I’m getting quite the education in this new place! I have lots of toys to play with and I like to play ball by myself. They say I am really good at amusing myself. They say I’m crate trained. Not sure what that means but I sure do like to sleep in my little den at night and sometimes even when I take a nap during the day. I don’t fuss or cry when I’m in there either. I’m a big boy! I am very quiet. I don’t make messes in the house either, because I learned a while ago that people frown on that kinda’ stuff and I don’t want them to be angry with me. I have had all of my shots, I am neutered (blagh!!), and they put this little thing called a microchip (??) under my skin, too, so I can’t really get lost. I’m a pretty handsome guy, if I do say so myself and I’d love to meet you so we can play together.

Sammy Dogis Jr. is housebroken, crate trained and fully vetted. He is currently located in Rio Rico, AZ.

The first step to meeting any of our dogs is to submit an application. It in no way obligates you to adopt, it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in we still encourage you to go through the approval process. Then you will be pre-approved and ready to adopt when a dog does come along that you are interested in.
