Hello – Please let me introduce myself. Benny Joe here to tell you all about my wonderful life. I am so lucky to have landed in the loving arms of Arizona Cattle Dog Rescue just a mere two months ago. I am 10 months old, a svelte 45 pounds, and oh so handsome (if I do say so myself). I have to tell you, I had so much to learn & still more to learn – I am a very smart boy & a quick study. I love to play & romp with dogs of all ages any size. I am very strong so kids of a young age would not be a great idea – ones aged at least 12 ok by me. I love my humans but sometimes I would rather not listen, however, when you call my name – I come running. Cats? I have no experience with them. I sleep in a crate w/out a fuss & do walk in for naps. When you are out of the house, I will object to being crated but I do relax, after sounding off a bit, until you return. Of course, I would be most comfortable with a family that is home most of the time. On leash – well, I think I should ‘lead’ you. My foster Mom says I need to work on that! I am all puppy at the moment, happy all day long, eager to learn, and I know with continued encouragement, I will grow into a fabulous buddy. I sit nicely for treats which I am told is ‘positive reinforcement’ & I like it! I am great in a vehicle and load & unload quickly. I am living with one other house mate in NE Mesa and I hope you will decide to meet me. Thanks for listening to my story, Benny Joe
The first step to meeting any of our dogs is to submit an application. It in no way obligates you to adopt, it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in we still encourage you to go through the approval process. Then you will be pre-approved and ready to adopt when a dog does come along that you are interested in.
