Why, you ask, is this lovely girl still on our website and not already adopted? We have asked ourselves that very question and the only reason we can come up with is that she is predominantly black and black dogs, like black cats, are quite often overlooked.

Montana is just the sweetest young girl you could ever meet. She loves with her whole heart and she plays that way too! She is a 9 month old ACD/BC mix who is black with blue paws and a blue chest.

Montana is living in a foster home with three other dogs, male and female, and gets along famously with them all. She is also living with a dog savvy black cat and is very respectful of her.

Montana is house and crate trained and will go to bed at about 8-9 each evening and will not stir until she hears you get up in the morning.

She will alert you to strangers at your door but once they are inside and she is properly introduced she is polite and calm.

She adores water and would love to have a pool of her own someday but is satisfied with a kiddie wading pool for her to frolic in. She also loves walking in the fosters’ backyard fountain, round and round under the falling water!

She is one smart cookie and is easily trainable. She knows some simple commands and is eager to please. She walks well on a leash for a beginner.

Montana is fully vaccinated and spayed and ready for her next forever home. Won’t you come see for yourself what a marvelous young girl she is?

She is currently living with her foster family in Rio Rico, Arizona.

The first step to meeting any of our dogs is to submit an application. It in no way obligates you to adopt, it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in we still encourage you to go through the approval process. Then you will be pre-approved and ready to adopt when a dog does come along that you are interested in.
