Are you looking for an all in one whirlwind, snuggle bug and a couch potato? Then I’m your boy! My foster parents call me “Cheddar” because I love cheese and because I have a “cheesy” smile! I will almost always greet you with a polite play bow-before trying to start a game of tug of war! I view everything as an adventure. I’m a young (9 month) boy just figuring out the world. I am extra diligent, and love to learn. So far, in addition to being crate trained and mostly house trained I sit politely for a cookie and I will shake your paw or beg if you ask, and I taught myself how to use a doggie door. I am not prey driven, although curious I pretty much I ignore the chickens at my foster parents (I much prefer a Trader Joe’s Peanut Butter Banana dog treat), but I have never met a cat, so I don’t know how I will do around them. I get along great with other dogs, and love to play, but eventually I calm down and love to cuddle, both with people and other dogs. I am not a runner but given the opportunity of an open gate I have been known to go on a little tour of the neighborhood. I was found because I walked up to neighbors walking their dogs and asked to play. I tire myself out by playing all day with other dogs. I can walk on leash well and jump up into the SUV when prompted.

The first step to meeting any of our dogs is to submit an application. It in no way obligates you to adopt, it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in we still encourage you to go through the approval process. Then you will be pre-approved and ready to adopt when a dog does come along that you are interested in.
