Peppermint Patty is a wonderful ACD who came into rescue with 5 4-week old puppies. She has been an awesome mom to her brood but her job is now done and it’s time for her to move on to her forever home.

She is a looker, indeed, with her blue coat and her “floofy” tail, waving in the breeze. She is currently residing with two other dogs, both males. She has been cohabitating with the resident cat in her foster home and has been respectful and mostly uninterested in her.

Peppermint Patty will need an adopter who understands that she needs to get to know them a little before she becomes the adoring baby that she is in her foster home. She is cautious with new people and can be a little standoff-ish to begin with but will come around and become your bestie in a very short time. Be aware that Patty does not much like car rides yet, but we are sure with some positive reinforcement and short rides she will come around. She is calm in the vehicle and lies down but won’t jump into it just yet. She is food motivated so some treats to go with the ride training will surely work. She is house trained, crate trained, and fully vetted and ready to begin her search for her forever home. She walks well on a leash and enjoys her walks with her foster and
her foster brothers.

Peppermint Patty is currently being fostered in Rio Rico, Arizona.

The first step to meeting any of our dogs is to submit an application. It in no way obligates you to adopt, it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in we still encourage you to go through the approval process. Then you will be pre-approved and ready to adopt when a dog does come along that you are interested in.
