Cooper is Super Duper! Sweet, energetic, and very eager to please, he is equally happy to hang out with you relaxing or playing a rousing game of fetch. Truly a dog who has it all, Cooper is approximately 4 years old. He gets along with other dogs but is equally happy having his people all to himself. House and crate trained Cooper is a mellow fellow who would be a loving addition to a home.
Doggie door trained, he walks nicely on a leash, and will jump in a car eagerly. He will come when called, and knows to sit on command. He loves toys, and will chase and fetch his ball or Kong as long as you will throw it. Watermelon is one of his favorite treats, and he will gladly share a slice with you on a warm summer afternoon by the pool.
Cooper is a former ACDR rescue who was returned to us due to a change in the family dynamic with his previous adopters having nothing to do with him or his behavior. He came from a loving and happy home.
We would like to see Cooper adopted into a cattle dog savvy home with older children, young teens and older. We do not recommend him for a first-time cattle dog enthusiast or a family with toddlers.
Currently with his foster family in the Phoenix area, Cooper is doing well, but is ready for his next great adventure. If you are looking for a goofy, energetic, curious, fun companion for all your adventures, consider Cooper.
The first step to meeting any of our dogs is to submit an application. It in no way obligates you to adopt, it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in we still encourage you to go through the approval process. Then you will be pre-approved and ready to adopt when a dog does come along that you are interested in.
