Nelly Furrtado 2 year Old Female ACD

Nelly came to us a bit out of tune, she had cruciate tears in both back knees. She now finishing up on her rehab with her second surgery and will ready to start work on her new album “A Furver Home” first thing in 2017!

Nelly’s list of talents is long and include great kisser, focused ball fetcher, warm snuggler and fabulous adventure partner! She still has some fine tuning to do with her social skills and “shopping choices” when it comes to toys but what DIVA doesn’t! The look on her face when she’s made a poor choice is “But it’s what I want,,, so it’s what I should have right??”

Nelly is good with people over the age of 10. Small active, wiggly, giggly kids can make her nervous so supervised visits with these “strange creatures” is advised. Nelly can also be a bit of an alarmist with new people and places. She’s working on this however and really wants to be “in tune” with all adventures!

Nelly is good on hikes, has pretty good recall and interacts nicely on the trail. She’s working on her leash manners. She currently lives with 13 other dogs and gets along with everyone however she does pull the “diva” act from time to time. A quick reminder to act like a lady is all it takes. She enjoys running and wrestling with her other silly furfriends and is respectful of her elders. Cats would probably be too much of a temptation as she does want to chase the chickens and nibble on the bunnies in her foster home. She hasn’t of course but you can see her thinking about it!

Nelly is generally and easy girl but will need a home versed in canine management. She’s ALL ACD in attitude, smarts and temperament. Also, because of the history with her knees she would not be a candidate for impact dog sports or as a bicycle dog. She IS an active girl who needs a fair amount of exercise so an active yet mindful home is needed for this special girl.

Nelly Furrtado is housebroken, crate trained and fully vetted. AVAILABLE in Jan 2017  She is currently located in Flagstaff, AZ

The first step to meeting any of our dogs is to submit an application. It in no way obligates you to adopt; it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in, we still encourage you to go through the approval process. Then you will be pre-approved and ready to adopt when a dog does come along that you are interested in
