Mimi is 36 pounds of boundless love and energy. She was originally purchased from a miniature Australian shepherd breeder. At about 21 inches at the shoulder, she’s a bit too tall to be classified as a mini, and too short for a standard Aussie, which makes her the perfect mid-sized Aussie! Mimi bonds quickly people, and prefers spending time with them over her canine friends. She will play with some of the cattle dogs in her foster home, but she would rather socialize with humans. Mimi spent the first four years of her life as an only dog in a foster home for special needs children, and they weren’t always nice to her. So, a home with loving adults would be her preference. She loves her foster parents equally and would be happy with any adult family configuration. Her number one request is to have a forever family who is dedicated to helping her reach her potential. Though she is housetrained, and crate trained, she doesn’t have much formal training knowledge beyond that. However, Mimi is ready to go, go, go and exercise, learn and experience new adventures. She is a perfect canine sport prospect. Do you have an interest in Agility or Dock diving? Mimi is your girl! She loves flying off the side of the pool after the toy and is a very smart girl who is eager to please. Do you enjoy hiking, jogging, or swimming? Mimi is ready to join you in all of those activities! And at the end of the day, she enjoys snuggling and prefers to sleep on the bed. As you can see, Mimi is a gorgeous girl who is sporting her summer haircut. This makes drying off easy when she enjoys one of her favorite past times, playing fetch in the pool. Mimi is up-to-date on her vaccinations and is spayed. She is fostered in Surprise, AZ.

The first step to meeting any of our dogs is to submit an application. It in no way obligates you to adopt, it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in we still encourage you to go through the approval process. Then you will be pre-approved and ready to adopt when a dog does come along that you are interested in.
