Javi is a happy, healthy and very handsome Australian Cattle Dog. He is extremely affectionate and has a fairly mellow personality for a cattle dog! He LOVES to play catch, and wants as much of your attention as you are willing to give. He loves cuddles, a good belly rub and he is very well behaved on a leash! Javi is a very happy boy and gets along with everyone, he can be timid when initially interacting with new dogs but warms up to them fast. He got along beautifully with his foster sister Lottie (a cattledog mix) but definitely prefers human attention- that being said he is very loyal pup and as “velcro” as they get. He is very athletic and can jump over fences, we did have an incident where he was left alone briefly in backyard of his foster home and got away, but returned as soon as we called out to him. He is currently being vocally resistant to the crate but has not demonstrated any destructive behavior when left outside. Javi is sure to bring lots of joy and energy to a lucky family!
Javi is working on crate training, is housebroken and is fully vetted. He is currently located in Tucson
The first step to meeting any of our dogs is to submit an application. It in no way obligates you to adopt, it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in we still encourage you to go through the approval process. Then you will be pre-approved and ready to adopt when a dog does come along that you are interested in.
