Chase came to ACDR thru a Good Samaritan who found him in the Tucson desert. He was truly on death’s door! He had sarcoptic and demodex mange, dozens of other internal and external parasites, was extremely emaciated and on top of it all he was diabetic! But his spirit was still intact and he quickly stole all our hearts.

After 18 months of care Chase is now ready for adoption! Chase is fondly called “Mr. Rodgers” in his foster home as he is kind and gentle and it’s his mission to make sure everyone is happy and gets along. He is the first to make friends with any new foster pup that comes in. While Chase is very friendly with his canine friends large or small he is not good with other small pets including cats.  He will always be diabetic but the rest of his past is long behind. His future is as bright as his smile!

Chase’s diabetes is kept under control with daily insulin shots and a special diet. Whomever adopts him will need to be prepared and dedicated in continuing with his medical and dietary needs. His eye sight has been greatly impacted by the effects of diabetes as well but it doesn’t slow him down in the least!

Chase is housebroken, crate trained and fully vetted. He is currently located in Flagstaff, AZ

The first step to meeting any of our dogs is to submit an application. It in no way obligates you to adopt, it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in we still encourage you to go through the approval process. Then you will be pre-approved and ready to adopt when a dog does come along that you are interested in.
