Introducing Capi, the happiest BC/ACD ever to set foot on this earth! This gorgeous young man is always running, jumping, playing, and yes, sometimes he’s even smiling! He is eight months young and just the most energetic guy on the planet. His favorite toy in all the world is a cardboard box, any cardboard box, anywhere, anytime.  He doesn’t play with tug toys or balls or frisbees (yet) but we are sure, with his energy level he could be taught to love them almost as much as he loves cardboard boxes. He is going to be a big boy when he finally grows into his feet. He is over 40 pounds now and is expected to top 50 lbs. or more when he reaches his maturity.

He came into rescue not knowing what a leash or a collar was and is still not totally comfortable with them but he has made amazing progress during his time with his foster family. He needs work on his social skills as he is just being introduced to what is appropriate dog behavior around people. His fosters would not recommend that he goes to a family with small children as his size and energy level could result in a tot being knocked off his feet when Capi runs by. Dog savvy children over the age of 12 would be great.

He is going to need a family that can keep up with him and properly focus his energies as he is no couch potato. He is a bit shy when first meeting people and he is definitely not an alpha type dog. He is quite submissive in his foster family’s household.

Capi is crate trained, 95% house broken and will be fully vetted by Oct 13th. Capi is currently located in Rio Rico, AZ

The first step to meeting any of our dogs is to submit an application. It in no way obligates you to adopt, it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in we still encourage you to go through the approval process. Then you will be pre-approved and ready to adopt when a dog does come along that you are interested in.
