Bare Bones 6 Year Old Male ACD

Ol’Bare is one heck of survivor! He was picked up as an injured stray and had little chance of making out of the shelter. He had been hit by a car which crushed his front leg along with leaving him with road rash over 50% of his body. He’s been in foster care now for almost a year and has fully recovered from his ordeal.

Bare gets along with his calm and respectful foster furiends. The younger more rambunctious ones are a little much for him. He loves his foster mom and is still figuring out other people in the house. Bare is cautious yet polite to those who are patient and polite with him.

Bare needs a calm yet interactive home who wants to share in daily adventures whether it be easy walks around the neighborhood, yard chores or running errands in town. Bare would do best in a home with no children and preferably no men. He is still very cautious with strangers and while he tolerates his foster dad he interacts best with his foster mom. He’s a special boy looking for a special home that will understand this “good’ol boy” cattle dog.

Bare is housebroken, crate trained and fully vetted. He is currently located in Scottsdale, AZ

The first step to meeting any of our dogs is to submit an application. It in no way obligates you to adopt, it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in we still encourage you to go through the approval process. Then you will be pre-approved and ready to adopt when a dog does come along that you are interested in. Apply through the applications page on this website.
