Lefty is the most loving, happy dog you will ever meet. He wants nothing more than to cuddle with his favorite person on the couch and watch TV. He is a Velcro ACD mix and he is about 9 months old. His life hasn’t always been hugs and kisses. When he was a few months younger something bad happened to him but he won’t tell anyone what it was exactly. He prefers to live in the present and look forward to his bright and happy future than to dwell on his past. Lefty has only three legs, having lost his left front leg to whatever happened in his past, but he has adjusted very well with his new tripod stance. He is great with other dogs and he loves to talk to them and to his favorite people. He is good with dog-savvy cats. He has not met children while in his foster home but when out and about he has had very positive interactions with them. He walks well on a leash. He is not going to be your running partner but if you’re up for a hike or a long walk, he’s more than willing to accommodate.
Lefty is 95% housebroken, crate trained and fully vetted. He is currently located in Rio Rico, AZ.
The first step to meeting any of our dogs is to submit an application. It in no way obligates you to adopt, it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in we still encourage you to go through the approval process. Then you will be pre-approved and ready to adopt when a dog does come along that you are interested in.
