Sweet Rio is a middle-aged gentleman, at 8 yrs. old.
He has impeccable house manners, sleeps in the same room with his 3 foster siblings with no issue. He’s started trying to play with our female Chiweenie.
Rio was with his previous owner his entire life, and well cared for. He knows some tricks and commands.
He goes potty when asked to.
He is completely current on all his medical and ready to find that special someone to live out the second half of his life. He’s active and playful! Loves going “bye-bye” in the car. He gets a bit of attention when out and about. “What a beautiful dog!”
Small/ young kids probably aren’t his cup of tea, so he’s looking for adults to love him. The term “Blue Glue” applies here! He’s very attached to his people!
Rio is UTD on vaccines, neutered and is being fostered in Carefree Az.
We mended his broken heart, and he’s ready to move on to a place he’ll be cherished as family forever.

The first step to meeting any of our dogs is to submit an application. It in no way obligates you to adopt, it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in we still encourage you to go through the approval process. Then you will be pre-approved and ready to adopt when a dog does come along that you are interested in.
