LOOK at this guy! Isn’t he cool! And he’s got a ton of personality to back up his stunning looks! Abbott will need to go to an ACD savvy owner as he is still very much a puppy and needs to learn some social graces. He is high drive and would make a great farm hand as well as a great trail dog.
Abbott’s focus isn’t malicious at all and once he gets over his excitement in meeting new friends he quickly relaxes and wants to play. He is eager to please and a quick study in anything you show him. He enjoys traveling in the car, hikes in the forest and playing with other confident yet gracious dogs. Abbott may not do well with cats or small children as he is still a pup at heart and can be impulsive and may knock a small kid over or play too rough with a cat.
As we said, Abbott will need a family who has experience with the breed and their unique quirks. He so wants to be a good boy and a family who can help him be just that would be the perfect fit. He’s a diamond in the ruff…are you the family to help polish him up?
Abbott is housebroken, crate trained and fully vetted. He is currently located in Flagstaff, AZ
The first step to meeting any of our dogs is to submit an application. It in no way obligates you to adopt, it is simply part of our process. If the dog you are interested in is adopted before you can meet them or if we do not currently have a dog you are interested in we still encourage you to go through the approval process. Then you will be pre-approved and ready to adopt when a dog does come along that you are interested in.
